To the kind attention of Dr Leopoldo Ardiles
Brussels, 12 January 2011
Dear Dr Ardiles,
As you are aware, the ISN's biennial World Congress of Nephrology (WCN 2011), taking place in Vancouver, Canada from 8-12 April 2011 (www.wcn2011.org), is a unique International Congress in the field of nephrology, bringing together specialists from developed and developing countries from around the world. One of ISN's goals at WCN 2011 (organized jointly with the Canadian Society of Nephrology) is to serve as a platform for networking, and provide an opportunity to exchange ideas, visions and challenges with fellow delegates worldwide. As a philanthropic organization, the ISN aims to ensure global outreach activities can be supported through meetings such as this one.
We strongly encourage you and your colleagues to be a part of this event, so that you will be able to network with the 400+ speakers and 5,000 expected participants from more than 100 countries, in addition to visiting the beautiful city of Vancouver.
The WCN 2011 scientific committee has come up with a superb scientific programwith the main theme being Sustainability and Diversity. Plenary speakers have specifically been chosen to represent international science and human interest. There are opportunities for interactive sessions with interventional nephrologists, pathologists, and clinical experts as well as debates, and late breaking trials. .
Finally, we would like to inform you of the new benefits that will be available to ISN members during WCN 2011, which include a members' lounge and a fast-track lane at the registration desk. If you, or your colleagues, are not yet registered for the congress, you may still do so and benefit from a reduced congress fee rate. Attendance to WCN 2011 and ISN membership support the Global Outreach humanitarian activities of the ISN.
We look forward to welcoming a strong contingency of delegates from the Chile Society of Nephrology at WCN in Vancouver!
With our best regards,
